The Sun and Moon

Astrological language groups the Sun and Moon with the planets, although astronomically they are a star and a natural satellite. The Sun is commonly associated with identity and purpose; the Moon with habits, emotional responses and familiarity. Their roles are related but not identical.

Mercury, Venus and Mars

Mercury concerns thinking, exchange and communication. Venus relates to attraction, enjoyment and values. Mars represents initiative, assertion and conflict. Interpret the planet first, then add its sign and house. Venus in a sign and Mars in the same sign do not mean exactly the same thing.

Jupiter and Saturn

Jupiter is associated with expansion, learning and perspective; Saturn with boundaries, responsibility and structure. Neither is simply good or bad. Growth can exceed capacity, while a limit can support a sustainable plan. Their meaning depends on the question and the relationships within the chart.

The outer planets

Modern astrology includes Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, often associated with disruption, imagination and deep change. They move slowly, so entire birth cohorts share their signs. A personal interpretation needs additional context such as close aspects or, with reliable birth time, houses.

Read combinations, not verdicts

List a planet's theme, its sign, its house if known and one close aspect. Explain the combination without promising a specific outcome. Planetary symbolism can help organize reflection, but it cannot determine whether a person will achieve a goal or how another person will behave.

Our guides use Western tropical astrology as a symbolic tradition for reflection. They do not establish scientific personality categories or guaranteed predictions.
