What the comparison includes
Astrologers look at aspects between one person's planets and the other's, sometimes adding house overlays. Moon contacts are often read through emotional rhythm, Mercury through communication, and Venus and Mars through affection and desire. No single connection describes an entire relationship.
Prepare both birth profiles
Each chart needs reliable birth details. If one time is unknown, house overlays and angles on that side are uncertain. Record the limitation before interpreting the comparison. Do not quietly replace a missing time with noon and then present precise house placements as known.
Ease is not the same as success
A trine can symbolize an easy exchange, but ease does not guarantee interest or effort. A square can suggest competing needs, but disagreement is not automatically a failed relationship. Interpretation becomes more useful when it names a conversation the people can actually have.
Synastry versus a composite chart
Synastry preserves two separate charts and compares them. A composite chart constructs a third symbolic chart, commonly from planetary midpoints. The techniques answer related but different questions. Avoid mixing their placements without explaining which chart is being discussed.
Keep real behavior central
Mutual respect, consent, trust and the ability to repair disagreements matter more than a favorable chart description. Synastry cannot establish whether a person is faithful, whether a relationship is safe or what someone secretly feels. Use it to frame questions about habits and expectations, then answer those questions together.
